MEET DR. MANISHA JUVEKAR - MRCPCH | FRCPEdin | DNB | MD | DCH | FCPS
Dr. Manisha Juvekar is an estemeed Paediatric Pulmonogist and Sleep Medicine Consultant from Mumbai, India. She has more than two decades of hands-on experience of handling critical cases in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine.
As a believer in life-long learning, Dr. Manisha has several academic degrees and certifications to her repute. She has done her Undergraduate and Post Graduate degree from the esteemed Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College and Hospital, Mumbai. Apart from this, Dr. Manisha has also completed several specialized International training and certifications along with hands on international experience from prestigious institutions like Sheffield Children’s Hospital, UK; K. K. Children’s Hospital, Singapore; Olympus Centre for Bronchoscopy, Thailand.
Through these engagements, Dr. Manisha learned skills and expertise in the management of various respiratory conditions like Cystic Fibrosis, Asthma, Chronic Lung Diseases in infants and children, Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia, Sleep Disordered Breathing and many more. She is also trained in performing Advanced Lung Function tests ranging from Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing to Polysomnography (Sleep Study).
As a visiting fellow at Sheffield Children’s Hospital and K. K. Children’s Hospital, she underwent advanced training in management of Lung Diseases in Children and Sleep Medicine. She secured her International Sleep Medicine Certification and also has her Diplomate in Pediatric Sleep Medicine from Colorado University.
She did her Bronchoscopy Training at Olympus Centre at Bangkok in Thailand and got trained in complicated procedures like removal of foreign body from the airway, Transbronchial and Endobronchial Biopsy, Bronchoalveolar Lavage and other brochonoscopic procedures. At Kanchikamakoti Hospital, Tamil Nadu she has done her further training in Bronchoscopy.
She is associated with several prestigious Institutions and has participated and presented in many prestigious Indian and International Conferences. She is also a member of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics; the Academy of Sleep Medicine India; Member of the Royal College of London and the European Respiratory Society to name a few.
